This week to summarise, the final auditions were completed with the cast, lighting set ups were practiced, Ryan has nearly finished learning the basics of Adobe 'After Effects', futuristic graphics were talked about and how colour grading can bring down the lighting intensity in post.

Additional Actions:

I experimented briefly using some images shot by Charlie of how to adjust lighting by colour correction in post-production.

Some example images can be found below:

I intensified the green lighting as well as provide some more white lighting in the blue tinted image.

Key Notes from the Meeting:

  • Rehearsals will be commencing with the successful chosen cast from 26 March 2021

  • Archive was discussed and the budget about funding them

  • Ryan has nearly finished 'After Effects' as well as creating a camera guide for contributors

  • Lighting was extensively looked at with various set ups being demonstrated to the team (coloured lighting, angles and device lighting)

  • Colour Correction was talked about in terms of adjusting the light

  • Futuristic graphics in post were also talked about, such as the possible inclusion of holograms and moving lights

General Assignments:

My Assignments:

  • To create blog posts

  • To collaborate with the director and use the key archive sites highlighted in the document last week, in order to pair up archive required shots from the script.

  • Point out which archive libraries to buy to the producer

I have completed all three of the tasks already. I have decided to suggest to the producer that 'Artgrid' and 'StoryBlocks' archive libraries are going to be the most effective for the shots we require. For the archive pairing, I noted down all general and specific archive required for production, by going over the script with the director. I noted down the origin of the archive, the title, the author, key word used and screenshotted the exact shots we would need for all three episodes in the miniseries.

Below is an image of the notes made and some screenshots of the archive being used:
