This week, I was tasked with creating a guide for contributors taking part remotely on how they can achieve high quality sound at home. I created a two page document where I broke down some key areas such as: how to record better on your phone, how to record SFX or Foley, how to record outside and how to create a 'dead space' in your environment.

I also used some visuals to illustrate my tips/advice. I based the document on what I learnt in the sound workshop the previous week but in a more simple and relevant context for the purposes of this guide.

An example image of the document can be seen below:

Additional Actions:

  • I took down and filled in the 'Meeting Minutes' document this week

Key Notes From Meeting This Week:

  • The group learning agreement was filled in collectively

  • The Australian auditions are being finalised and almost organised with a suitable date

  • Nearly all group members have completed their first draft for their individual learning agreement form

  • The group participation and exploitation document was completed collectively

  • Updates on work carried out from last week were discussed, including my potential music list which I received praise on

General Assignments:

  • To progress further with the organisation of auditions and maybe hold the Australian auditions by next weeks meeting

  • For Ryan and Charlie to complete their individual learning agreements before next weeks meeting

My Assignment this week:
