Graduate Project Blog Week 1- General Idea Outlook

This week in the graduate project production meeting we established the general idea of what we would do in a full restrictive lockdown situation, partial lockdown and no lockdown situation in relation to Covid-19.

We decided to heavily develop the full restrictive lockdown idea as this can be done despite whatever restrictions.

Key Notes from the meeting:

• The format would now be a mini series (3 episodes) broken down into 10 minutes each instead of a singular 30 minute film or TV episode

• We listened to the directors vision and script of episode one 'The World Stood Still' and we read the script whilst making notes of elements to incorporate in relation to our roles

• I made a list of all the SFX and music that was indicated and I noted some suggestions too all of which could be possible on working remotely

• Once the reading was completed we had a discussion and individually we all contributed our thoughts and notes.

• The director acknowledged this as well as the rest of the crew members and the necessary adjustments were made or would be made by the following meeting next week.

Assignments:

The general assignments that were given to people were as follows:

• Create blogs weekly from now

• Create character profiles

• Make a casting poster and research best distribution method

• Start thinking about what props or elements of the production, we need to divide the production budget for

My Assignment:

• Research/source archive libraries online, breaking down the prices and analysing the content available

• Provide an idea of some titles/ graphics that can be created on the software the editing software that I have (DaVinci Resolve)

• Think about sound design and create a document illustrating appropriate SFX, music and available sources where the sound can be derived from
