This week I unfortunately haven't done anything practical based as there has been no workshop this week. In addition, a group of us did try to book out kit two weeks ago for this week but we weren't successful in this unfortunately, which was the initial plan but have managed to secure it for next week thankfully.

Presentation Planning

Instead this week I decided to use my time in preparation for the presentation which is just over two weeks away. So to breakdown what I did I revisited my 'Learning Agreement Form' and made some amendments to what I want to present in my presentation which is going to be: Camerawork and functionality, use of the jib, track and dolly and lighting set ups.

I also revisited my 'Skills Audit Sheet' in order to formulate a structure for my presentation which I now have along with some helpful media content I intend on incorporating and other references. I hope to continue developing this further in the lead up to the presentation but after now doing this I am clear in what I would like to present and what I would like to factor into my presentation.

Next Weeks Plan

So next week I have arranged along with some colleagues to book out the sound stage along with some kit and use it creatively on some scenes I have created in 'Shot Designer'. This will be a great chance to wrap up all the skills I have learnt in my cinematography specialism over the last few weeks as this will be the last practical hands on experience I will get before the presentation. Furthermore, it is a chance to photograph and capture some more useful evidence which I can depict in my presentation. Finally, I have taken the time this week to make a list of various different equipment and practice that I want to execute for our final day of using the kit.

This is a potential scene I may wish to undertake during the day we have booked kit. The scene involves two characters sitting at either ends of a table. It includes a dramatic lighting set up focused on the blue character while camerawork wise I would want to perform a slow tracking shot that ends on a close up of this character to capture tension/ the dialogue.
